Selamat Tinggal 2008

Last day of 2008 and the last post for 2008. Another new year, new resolutions. 2008 was a good year. Up and downs, yeah, but I got through it.

Waiting to go to church at 9 later. Every year my church has a New Year's Eve service from 9p.m-12p.m to usher in the New Year. Usually there will be open sharing and a little bit of God's word by the pastor. Will be playing for the Praise and Worship later. Have to wear necktie. Gah. It's for the Lord so I don't mind.

Went to watch Bolt just now.

Either the movie was boring or my interest for CGI movies are starting to fade away cause I felt that Bolt was just another run of the mill kind of CGI movie. I wasn't really amazed while watching. Not like when I was watching Finding Nemo or Shark Tale. Nothing much to rave about. Though I have to admit Rhino the Hamster is cute.

I feel like squeezing it to death.

The kids sitting behind my friends and I were a pain in the arse. They were noisy especially when they laughed. One kid kept kicking Hafreez's seat. The song sung by Miley Cyrus and John Travolta was nice.Hot. There were some sad moments in the movie and Wilson wanted to cry.

Overall the movie was ok. I know the past 2 movies which I blogged about were also ok-ok. I dunno why, the movies didn't intrigued me. I give this movie a 6 out of 10.

Before I end, I'd like to Wish all of you a Blessed New Year's Eve. As we face a new year, some of you may start to worry already about stuffs ahead. Don't be worried but look to God.

1 Peter 5:7

"Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you"

BLESSED NEW YEAR'S EVE!
God Bless! :D

Caprilla

I miss Caprilla.

29 December 2008. 2 more days till the last day of 2008 and a brand new year. Asd. Form 4. 2 more years in secondary school. New subjects. New friends. Stuff and more stuff. Can't wait for next year's Family Church Camp. Hot.

Anyway, PMR results are coming out tomorrow. 13 more hours. I'm kinda iffy of my results. Like unexpected things happening and all. I've done my best, trusted in the Lord and yeah, we'll just see.

In an unrelated happening, I found out what Schnitzels are. It's actually wiener schnitzel. An Austrian traditional dish, consisting of a thin slice of veal and then coated in breadcrumbs and fried

A Wiener Schnitzel.

Till then,

If only it were snowing

Finally, Christmas is back again and another year is coming to an end. As cliche as it always ways, is and will be, it seemed only yesterday I started Form 3 and now, I'll be going into Form 4. Oh, the nostalgia.

Ok, enough being emo.

Went Christmas shopping just now. Bought some presents for my parents. Christmas Eve dinner tonight cause they're having BBQ at my church. Christmas Eve dinner with family and relatives are always fun and the food is always good. The turkey, lamb, mash potatoes, tomatoes, cheese, just scrumptious.

Anyway, just to wish everyone a very Merry and Blessed Christmas Eve and may you have a wonderful and fun Christmas. Eat and be merry but do remember the real meaning of Christmas which is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who came to the world to save us from our sins.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Cheers!

Twilight Rhymes With Marmite

Yes, I watched Twilight and I must say going to Toys R Us was better. The movie didn't really appeal to me. Why did I watch it then? Simply cause the time of the other movies weren't suitable. The only suitable ones were Twilight and Cicakman 2. Twilight, Cicakman, Twilight, Cicakman, Kenny Chong, Twilight...

So Twilight it was. Hell no was I watching Cicakman.

The vampires in this book are different than of the conventional ones. For example, they do not burn up in flames when they are exposed to sunlight. Instead, their skin glitters like diamonds. Diamonds are forever.

Edward Cullen looks weird in the movie. Hate me for saying that if you must. It's just that he looks so pallid that it isn't hot. I don't get why girls get all crazy about him. Emmett looks better than him. Another thing was the staring and all. Edward kept staring at Bella especially in Biology class and it looked very wrong like Wilson having a bouffant. It also looked wrong when Bella came into the classroom and Edward somehow got startled. Tulang.

Humpty Dumpty

I must say the part that I liked was the part Edward saving Bella from being crushed by the van. This leading to Bella googling things about Edward. She gets the truth, confronts him. He tells her about him being a vampire. Boo. She gets asked "Are you scared?" Hell no Nigga! What kind of girl do you think that I are? Bella ain't afraid of no vampire's ass. As a matter of fact, Bella ain't afraid of no one. Neither is George Bush afraid of Elmo. Ok, just ignore that.

The baseball game scene was nice too with Muse's Supermassive Blackhole playing as the background music. I really have nothing much to say about this movie. It was ok-ok. I almost fell asleep. For those who actually read the book, they'd understand it, but for those who haven't, it might be harder to understand.

I give this movie a 5.5 out of 10. Slightly higher that The Day The Earth Stood Still cause the plot in the movie for me was better.

Alien Environmentalist

Went to watch The Day The Earth Stood Still today. And well, it wasn't really good. Sort of an ok-lah kind of movie.

This movie is the remake of the 1951 version.

What I have to say about it is that, I felt the intro and the build up to the climax took a long time.In the movie, Klaatu(Keanu Reeves), some alien comes to earth to kill the human race to save planet Earth from dying. Why? You know, humans polluting the Earth and all. The reason why he comes to Earth isn't revealed until three-quarter of the movie. Maybe it's a way to build up suspense to why he is coming to Earth or something like that.

The spherical spaceship thing.

About an hour before Klaatu comes, Dr. Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly), a Princeton professor, and other scientists are hastily assembled by the government in order to formulate a survival plan when it is feared that a large unknown object with a speed of 30,000 km/s is on a crash course to the Earth, due to impact Manhattan in just over an hour.

One thing I kept wondering was that there were at least 12 scientist in the group and yet, when Klaatu was brought to them, only 2 or so scientist appeared and the rest were nowhere.

Bla bla bla, fast forward, the part where the human race was suppose to be wiped out was too fast. The humans and all the man made buildings and stuff get devoured by some kind of minute insect creature from space.

It was like, swarm of minute insects coming to devour and in about 20 minutes, Klaatu stops it cause he finally realizes humans are willing to change to save the Earth. Finally the ending, Klaatu disappears and the sphere leaves Earth. The End. They don't show the aftermath or how the humans now deal with the Earth or something. Nada. Just end. Fast Ending. Nak nemu.

5 of 10 for me.

Anyway, besides watching a movie, I went to Toys R us and it was hot.

They have sign boards hanging above toys with the word This is Hot and Panas! Panas!
Hot indeed. They have so many cool toys.Transformers action figures, Marvel Comic action figures and stuff. I want the Star Wars Clone trooper helmet which makes sounds. Too bad they don't have a Darth Vader helmet. But then, the prices where not hot, easily around 100+ bucks. The helmet cost 179 bucks. Not hot. The Rubik's Cube sold there cost around 25 bucks where as in Ng Siang Hap is around 9 bucks and their the same.

I don't get why they sell bottles and plates there though.

Till then,

Done.

I forgot

I was watching Rugrats the other day. Reminiscing about the old cartoons. How the babies pronounce words like "aminals" and so on.

Tommy being the smart one who comes up with all kinds of plans and also the leader. Chuckie, not the killer doll, who's afraid of practically everything. Phil and Lil, the twins, who fight over things and eat worms. I like Phil.

我等着你回来. Miaw.

I forgot how annoying one character was.But as I was watching I remembered how annoying she was.

Angelica Pickles.
THIS GIRL IS AN ANNOYING NEFARIOUS B!TCH. Seriously, she is like what, 6? and yet she thinks like an arsey adult and acts like one b!tchy drama queen who wants all the damn toys in the world and scams the babies into getting what she wants. She should be left alone with Ken in a room and see what Ken will do to her.

An her dad's all, "She my little angel~" Bah. Grill her on Licence to Grill ah. Then serve her to hungry children in Ethiopia.I wouldn't blame them if they don't want to eat her. Ok, that's sick. I like pasta.
She and her Cynthia doll. Ugh.

Sorry for the foul language.

Rubik's Cube

Sorta true.

Sunday, 7 December 2008

Short.

Christmas is 18 days..weee.

Ok, just a brief update.

Bought like 9 movie dvds yesterday, planning on going on a movie mania. Haven't really been up to date with the movies. Just watched Irony Man and James Bond. I know I'm slow. Planning to finish watching the rest this week and then go buy some more.

James Bond was sweet like Anna Olson's pastries. Storyline was good. Action packed as usual and more car thrashing. Haih, so nice cars. For some reason some parts of the of it was in Chinese. Pirated movies. Hehe. James Bond in Chinese = Not hot. It's like watching cartoons on Cartoon Network in Chinese. It just isn't right. You need to watch Casino Royale to really understand the movie though.

James Bond(Daniel Craig) and Olga Kurylenko as the Bond girl, Camille Montes.

Bla bla bla, stuff stuff stuff.
